The Mica Mountain Tunnel of the Baxian Expressway

The tunnel is 13.8 kilometers long and is currently the longest expressway tunnel in Southwest China and the second longest in the country that has been completed. The excavation at the exit end of the tunnel reached 8,008 meters, which is the longest single-head excavation highway tunnel in China. At the time of construction, the overall structural scale of the tunnel was the largest in China, the structural scale of ventilation inclined and vertical shafts was the largest in China, and the geological complexity of the environment inside and outside the tunnel was the largest in China.
