The Canakkale Bridge in Turkey in 1915

Spanning the Dardanelles Strait at the western end of the Sea of Marmara in Turkey and connecting Europe and Asia, it is a double-tower, three-span suspension bridge with six lanes in both directions. The main span of the bridge is 2,023 meters long, making it the largest suspension bridge in the world in terms of span. It was completed and opened to traffic on March 18, 2022.
