On March 26th, the Baima Qujiang Special Bridge of the Zhenguang Expressway, constructed by the Bridge Company, was fully connected. The bridge was completed one month ahead of the planned schedule, injecting strong impetus into the realization of the goal of opening 90 kilometers of the Tongguang section of the Zhenguang Expressway to traffic by the end of the year.

The Baima Qujiang Special Bridge is a key project of the Tongguang section of the Zhenguang Expressway. It is located in Qianfeng District, Guang 'an City, spanning the Qujiang River and connecting Guang 'an District and Qianfeng District. The main bridge of the bridge adopts a mid-span steel tube concrete arch bridge design with a total length of 657.8 meters and a clear span of 390 meters. Its steel tube arches are in a bright "Chinese red" color, like a red dragon lying on the river, complementing the green mountains and clear waters.

During the construction, the construction team applied for 10 utility model patents and 8 invention patents, and carried out 6 minor and minimally invasive modifications to the process and management. They innovated the transportation and turning process of steel pipe arches and adopted a fully assembled cable hoisting process, etc., to reduce the construction difficulty and save construction costs. At the same time, the cable crane centralized monitoring intelligent control center, the engineering management data platform (Luban software), etc. are applied to achieve remote monitoring of hoisting, save manpower, reduce safety risks, and ensure "zero accidents" in bridge construction.

The breakthrough of the Baima Qujiang Special Bridge marks a significant milestone in the opening section of the project, providing convenience for the subsequent progress of the project and laying a solid foundation for the opening of the first 90 kilometers of the Tongguang section of the Zhen-Guang Expressway by the end of the year.

As the first red-themed expressway in the country, the Zhenguang Expressway is like a dynamic red bloodline, meandering through the Qinba Mountains. It is not only a major transportation route, but also an important link for inheriting the red gene and promoting the economic development of the northeastern Sichuan region.

During the construction, the project team integrated the red culture and Shu Road culture into the entire line, extending from the Wangtong section to the north and south. They created red cultural landscapes such as cliff carvings and reliefs with the theme of "A few sparks remember the martyrs, a few red leaves cover the mountains and rivers", and set up a red culture-themed service area.

After the full line is opened to traffic, it will connect the Red landmarks such as the Red Army Martyrs' Cemetery of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area, the Red Qu County Memorial Park, and Deng Xiaoping's Former Residence, injecting new impetus into the creation of an integrated development pattern of "transportation + tourism + education". In addition, the Zhenguang Expressway connects multiple expressways such as the Badar Expressway, Yingda Expressway, Nandaliang Expressway and Guang 'an Ring Expressway, which will further improve the regional road network structure and contribute to the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle.
