On March 13th, the pouring project of the main tower foundation on the Xichang bank of the Lugu Lake Special Bridge, one of the "Nine Super Projects" of the Xixiang Expressway, which was constructed by the East China Company, was successfully completed. This marks a new stage in the construction of the Lugu Lake Special Bridge and has laid a solid and powerful foundation for the subsequent main tower construction and the smooth connection of the entire bridge.

As one of the key control projects of the Xixiang Expressway, the Lugu Lake Special Bridge is a necessary passage to Lugu Lake, Shangri-La and Muli. It is the world's largest-span steel truss girder suspension bridge and the world's largest-span space cable suspension bridge in mountainous areas, with a total length of 1,922 meters and a main span of 1,680 meters. The main tower pier of the Xichang bank of this bridge is renowned for its super-large volume and high-precision design. The structural system of this pier is complex, consisting of a combination of pier and tie beams. The left and right piers are closely connected by solid tie beams. The total height of the pier is 9 meters, the height of the constant cross-section part is 7.5 meters, and the height of the variable cross-section part is 1.5 meters. The bottom surface size of the pier base is 33.2 meters ×26.2 meters. The top surface size is 15.8 meters by 14.8 meters. To ensure the stability and durability of the structure, the design team adopted the "D8+D12" steel mesh three-dimensional layout technology, forming a fully enclosed reinforcement system of "side + top + bottom", and embedded 40 ultra-deep pile foundations in the 7.5-meter-high foundation, creating the solid feet of the "steel-reinforced concrete giant".


To ensure the smooth pouring of 14,602 cubic meters of large-volume concrete this time, the TJ9 section project of Xixiang Expressway has made scientific layouts and advanced plans, coordinated all participating construction units to formulate meticulous plans and corresponding risk response plans, adopted advanced construction techniques and strict quality control measures, strengthened risk monitoring and early warning mechanisms, and promptly identified and resolved risks. For instance, the innovative application of "TG version Cloud Mode Automatic Timed Temperature Measurement" and the combined positioning monitoring of "Beidou Positioning +5G Internet of Things" has set up 104 intelligent temperature measurement points, achieving dynamic temperature monitoring throughout the pouring process and precisely controlling the temperature difference fluctuation within ±1 degree Celsius. The project department innovatively applied the "full coverage high-pressure water gun" and "recycling and disposal of construction wastewater" processes to ensure environmental protection and efficiency during the construction process.


Next, the project team will continue to adhere to the development concept of "safety first, quality foremost, people's livelihood foremost, and efficiency prioritized", strengthen the refined control throughout the construction process, and orderly and effectively advance the construction of the main tower columns of the Lugu Lake Special Bridge. They will spare no effort to make a final push in the first quarter and strive with vigor and determination to ensure the high-quality and efficient completion of the annual construction task goals.
