The Xi 'an-Chengdu High-Speed Railway (Xi 'an-Chengdu High-Speed Railway) is China's first high-speed railway to cross the Qinling Mountains. It is approximately 643 kilometers long and designed for a speed of 250 kilometers per hour, connecting Xi 'an City in Shaanxi Province and Chengdu City in Sichuan Province. The line was fully opened to traffic on December 6, 2017, reducing the travel time between the two places from 12 hours to approximately 3 hours and 13 minutes. The Xi-Cheng High-Speed Railway passes through complex geological and geomorphic conditions, including a 134-kilometer-long tunnel complex and 70 kilometers of long ramps. The ratio of Bridges to tunnels is as high as 94%, making it a major project in China's high-speed railway construction.
